UC Merced Machine Shop Lab Time
**PLEASE READ ALL DISCLAIMERS BEFORE SCHEDULING A LAB SLOT**
The Manual Machine shop will be open to all students, faculty and staff, who have reserved a time slot, to work on their own projects. Training will be administered during your time slot, as needed, depending on your skill and comfort level.

STRICT DRESS CODE APPLIES: NO TANK TOPS ALLOWED, CLOSED TOED SHOES ONLY, and ALL LONG HAIR MUST BE TIED BACK, NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND ON ARMS/HANDS/FINGERS WHILE OPERATING MACHINES. Safety glasses are provided, but it is advised to bring your own. If you wear eye glasses, you must wear oversized glasses to cover them or put on side shields.

Please only book the minimum amount of slots that you believe you will need to complete your project. We recommend no more than two slots if you have not been to the Machine Shop before.

Be ready with drawings or solid models. Having a drawing or model will greatly speed up the process of getting you set up as well as determining if the Machine Shop is properly equiped for you to complete your project.
